I went to my friend Matthew’s place years ago and he’d covered his walls in frames filled with small moments like a receipt from a first date, a number on a bar napkin, a hole in his wall – Years later, cities later, it’s my favorite way to fill my walls. I just picked up a crazy shadow box frame for a deck of cards I randomly got at David Blaine’s house one bizarre night last year.

"Your room looks like a museum," he told me the first time I let him into my bed. He traced the trinkets on my shelves, then paused to look at the wall covered in postcards. "The Museum of Envy." I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a compliment, but I took it as one. The wall has changed since then. The postcards have made place for vintage maps of places I hope to visit again one day, for boarding passes from long ago trips, for bank notes from faraway places, for illustrations and pictures and images that would make my friends say: "Yeah, that's Envy." My memory wall is a museum. The museum of me and everything I love.

One of my flatmates recently discovered a cheap framing shop near to where we live. Now, I have become obsessed with framing everything. I'm currently waiting on a print of The Red Shoes I got at the BFI to be framed in this gorgeous silver metal. Framing is great. Daydreaming about what you'd frame, how you'd frame it, picking the framed thing up. It's all amazing.

Getting shit framed is, by a wide margin, the most adult thing I do. It’s luxurious! I started framing magazines I’d written cover stories for — silly, stupidly celebratory — and now I frame movie posters and stills. (I’m addicted to Posteritati.) Framing is more than an errand, it’s a ritual. It’s a way of saying: “I love this $100 and a custom cut piece of glass-worth.” I go to Framebridge because it’s closest to my apartment.

I rewatched it for the first time in ages and even still was on the edge of my seat.  It’s a perfect movie. A PERFECT. MOVIE. And even though it didn’t come out in the summer, I think it’s the summer movie.  Sharon Stone, Michael Douglas, murder and MYSTERY. It gets remembered for the leg cross and that’s the least memorable thing about it. Watch it TONIGHT.

If you’ve ever wanted to cosplay as a billionaire, look no further than Keith McNally’s triple decker seafood tower of clams, oysters, mussels, crab legs, ceviche, and lobster for $195.  I only wish the menu came with a disclaimer RE the faces other diners would make when they realized it was just for me and Kareem.

I know what you’re thinking. “Adam, it’s not 2021 anymore, get a grip.” Which, first of all, how dare you, second of all, have some fun in your life. 0.5 selfies make everything better.
