You need one. It doesn’t have to last forever but it can provide solace or guidance in a certain time period, where everytime it plays, it just hits… it’s ur moment. I think over the summer I was « city grrl » by CSS , now I’m definitively weird fishes by radiohead and I’m loving it.

One time, I went into a one-on-one meeting with my boss and he insisted we listen to this 24-minute song in its entirety. The song took up the entire meeting. That was in 2018, and lately, I’ve been listening to it again. Feels like time traveling to another life.
