An elderly man who volunteers there always gives the audience a quick intro to the film with the DVD case in his hand The tickets are pay-what-you-can and the screen, sound, and programming are all great I went with my friend with whom I usually hate-watch really bad 2010s dramas so it was nice to see a film that we actually love together

Watching your favorite movie in a theatre

What I love about nyc is the infinite amount of screenings there are for all types of movies — I think of it as an event more than anything! Feels way more fulfilling than just catching a film that just came out at an amc or whatever. The theaters r so much more intimate! And then you’ll watch happy together 1997 and the colors will be so beautiful n bright and you’ll cry and feel the same way someone did after seeing it 20+ years ago!

Jowall is my favorite artist in Korea right now (alongside Bulssazo) - he is a member of Underwear Band (who I haven’t checked out yet) and Byul.org. This 2013 album is gorgeous, soaring, lush, quiet, chaotic one moment and perfectly ordered the next. the choice of instruments on every track is softly stunning. it’s a perfect 10/10 for me.
