a house telling the story of a fictional family and the lives they led between the 18th to 20th centuries.
acquired by dennis severs in the 1980s he transformed the home into a performance space and portal to a different time. so so beautifully done with so much detail and character.
the history is vivid and present in both the narrative and the story of the creator behind it. the insight into the socio-economic state of london and spitalfields at the time is fascinating.
you can walk through the home yourself (both silent and relaxed visits) or be taken through severs’ vision by an actor (huge rec, the performance was incredible!!!)
enter the space for an escape from the london rat race and leave feeling closer to the city than you ever expected!

i recommend listening to music. people have been listening to music for thousands of years and we’ll do it for thousands more. here’s a spreadsheet that i use to track albums/mixtapes/EPs i listen to at work. i need to find a better way to take into account singles… but for now, this is my preferred way to remember what music i listen to. my favourites are highlighted in green. right now, i’m really into trap, scottish twee pop, and ambient music… but this will change
