maybe itβs a quick coffee chat or a 2hr dinner or just an arts and crafts sesh but i want to know about my friends lives! even with the busyness of life i want to make sure i set time aside to make sure my friends know i appreciate them. iβve had way too many friendships just slowly fizzle out because we text every few weeks saying we should catch up and never do.

I keep a standing calendar date with my long-distance friend. At first I made the typical excuses β "My schedule changes all the time", "I'm really busy", "I'll try to make it", "maybe when terms up"....thank god for this friend b/c she did not let me slack. Rarely do we cancel and it's actually fantastic. We have our own little rules for the gathering (no course prep, no admin, no emails) only writing/research/making.

Projector>conventional TV. Roku plugged in on projector was a huge advancement. I get a plain white wall during the day and a massive screen by night! Also you fully cannot watch TV unless itβs a rainy day or night because the lighting wonβt work
