this is the best breakfast for when you a) feel a bit off or b) want some comfort:
- mix a bowlful of rolled oats with sultanas and finely chopped dried peaches/apricots/pear/whatever takes your fancy...
- soak in boiling water (i'm a milk avoidant)
- top with grated apple and cinnamon or honey
I am a habitual breakfast skipper but occasionally I have the forethought to make a big vat of porridge on my day off and then I have an easy brain-off breakfast for the whole week with lots of veg in.
It’s easy to tailor to your dietary needs (unless of course you can’t have rice) and can be pretty affordable. Also hot breakfast is nice.
this is my favourite party trick. i like to make them out of old bus tickets and receipts. i was at a rave the other day and i made one out of a tiny square of rizla card (pictured) and everyone loved it. bonus points if you can get the wings to flap when u pull the tail
