Offering to take photos of strangers

If you see people taking a selfie, always offer to take the photo for them. Bring good energy, have a little photoshoot and make sure you take at least 5 pictures. You're basically taking their moment and turning it into a memory that isn't ruined by the front cam. It's also good karma.

Be your own art director! You want a photo with your dog and the blink-182 section of the Riot Fest mural? Pick up the dog, strike a pose, and demand your picture be taken. This especially holds true when you want a group photo and/or when you’re at a tourist destination. You came all this way and not every image of you will work as a selfie.

Keep a list of small good things That happen to you

Add to it often — when you see a dog carrying a comically large stick, when a sandwich tastes especially good, when a cute baby waves at you. Look back at the list in times of despair.
