I had a dream recently where we were in an airport getting ready to go to NYC...
In the terminal, there were kiosks where you would deposit a pair of your socks, and the socks would get sent to Jake Gyllenhaal - the kiosks were branded with his face. It was like a mandatory gag that was part of passing through TSA, but he was in on it too. It was implied that he would then send your socks back to you, but somehow I knew that in the future, Jake did not send my Darn Tough socks back to me. I was rightfully pissed.
We then boarded the plane, but the seats, instead of facing forward, were stadium-style bench seats facing the side. On the far wall, Reese Witherspoon was giving a talk while we were parked on the tarmac. She later sat down next to me, and I ended up sliding into her during takeoff, because physics. Neither of us said anything, and I sat in an awkward silence until I woke up.
In the spirit of PI.FYI, consider this a rec for Darn Tough socks, but I'd love to know what the hell this dream means otherwise.

āDreamt that I was sitting in the audience of a fashion show and Sarah Jessica Parker told me I had really good hair and asked me and Miranda Kerr to style this modelās hair. This is the message I sent my friends when I woke up from this super strange dream...
I had a weird dream that I was in France with my parents and we were exploring about a bit and there was this swing that we thought was meant for toys but turned out people could go on it too and it was really famous because you were like meant to spin in like 360 circles round and round and I was like ohh yeah this was invented by the guy who invented the centrifuge and it was meant to be good for your health according to this strange theory and then we were at a bus stop which was really big and had a light switch and then I was with my half sister (?) and her full sisters who were french and they were performing mama Mia but it was also kind of the brownies and Isabel m and then we were doing embroidery at rangers/ brownies and I was trying to help other people but it was really annoying because someone had sewed with the entire thing of thread not like all six strands of embroidery thread like like ten times of six strand embroidery thread and I was trying to figure out how to continue it it was really weird.

New circumstances trick our minds into revealing vivid insights about ourselves. Last night in the hotel, I acted with impeccable moral integrity in an absurd situation (Pauly Shore and Magnum PI disassembling an elevator without permission outside my apartment window), and I woke up radiating with pride. I barely minded that it took me an hour to get back to sleep.Ā

This collection of field recordings is a collaborative effort with users of PI.FYI, each of which recorded their own pieces. It features audio from all over the world and exhibits eclectic moments from London Underground commutes to cuckoo bird calls in Dhaka to the sounds of a century-old American diner.
Online communities like PI.FYI often represent a diverse set of people, places, and experiences, but together, the submissions form a living collage that highlights the commonalities of modern life - a unifying message for such a tumultuous time. The first track features all of the sounds played at once in an attempt to create an audio snapshot of an online community but in their offline lives.
The individual recordings are unedited except for minor gain and compression adjustments for consistency across the collection.
