From the release notes:
Sweet and introspective lo-fi avant folk from Osaka and originally released in late 1999, this is considered to be a monumental and yet very mysterious relic: virtually nothing is known about Tobari outside of these minimal recordings and the few photos that accompany them.
This is some of the most gorgeous guitarwork ever recorded in my opinion. Even though I have no clue what Mr. Tobari is saying, I can feel it deep in my heart.
mostly un/self-taught group of Japanese musicians making the sweetest sounds since the late 90s. Sort of led by Tori Kudo who's also a ceramicist among other things, its just one of those beautiful art practices that defies classification or genres -- linked is a video of Kudo explaining his relationship to the music with some excerpts <3 also most of their albums arent on Spotify so its fun to dig around and find what's what elsewhere! Blues Du Jour is a really good one but its almost all worth an ear
Featuring 7 contributors covering McLuhan and electricity as the devil's nervous system, evil principalities, Louvin Brothers, and an assortment of prose and illustrations. https://pyr.exposed
