What happened to kitch in the home? It’s your private place you might as well have fun with it!

Lately I'm loving humble, homey vibes. Lots of pictures of small but thoughtfully designed kitchens with warm maple cabinets and yellow window curtains. Lots of crochet and hand-knit blankets and tapestries. Green couches and lots of plants. Gallery walls filling every inch with art and trinkets. Lots of cabins and A-frames. Lots of old bathrooms with fun colorful tiles. Overall vibes are that we're working with what we have and making it both look beautiful and feel like a hug.

why do bathrooms have to be fluorescent and depressing when they can be FUN!

Inexpensive and fun to flip through. Eccentric interior decor, feels very UK farmstead / rich countrysife - lots of fun colours and patterns

Magazines, music, the newspaper and PRINTING photos of your loved ones. The internet actually won’t last forever! And art of course.

Started a journal for the first time in my life recently. Actually game changing, I see now why it’s one of the most common self help practices… like what do you mean I’ll remember to do stuff if I simply take physical note of it? HAHAHA.

Super generic answer but once I made my account last year I realised how poor apps like Twitter etc. are for communicating ideas. Like you can barely form a thought under 200 characters, let alone host an interesting discussion. Substack certainly has its pitfalls & the notes side of the app can be a little mindless but overall it really encouraged me to follow through on ideas & discussions & journalling more often!
