i lived in the mission for a year and sometimes i forget that! Ty for reminding me. - taking a stroll at crissy fields. preferably on a sunny day. the view of the bay and bridge is awesome and really sells the im in san francisco - if you want to splurge on eats please go to Zuni Cafe! It’s classy California chic. order a martini and a pile of french fries if you’re not up for a full meal - for a fun drink there’s true laurel and any drink pairs with their patty melt (would also recommend just the patty meltšŸ¤“) - my old dive haunt was the 500 club + they have a photo booth - garden creamery has a rotational / seasonal ice cream menu that’s always yummy. grab a scoop and walk to doloresĀ park - the tea leaf salad!! at Burma Superstar - catch a movie at the Roxie they have awesome programming - don’t be afraid to walk up some hills. some random neighborhoods can have epic views i hope you have a great trip 🫶

temescal lake and reinhardt redwood park if you want to strollšŸš¶ā€ā™€ļøor just lounge in a meadow. ain’t normal and mother tongue for coffee and cocktails/wine, snail bar and north light for drinks/vibes, +1 to spectator for books, the wardrobe project for cheap but GOOD vintage (rare these days…), hudson bay for eavesdropping and good sandwiches, YOGURT PARK and top dog for froyo and hot dog bang bang ā€¼ļø (can’t believe u didn’t mention trappedinabody…but i suppose that is technically berkeley)…and DAYTRIP, neecha thai, belotti ristorante e bottega for food

i love that our seemingly high-tech phones still cannot do the job of capturing the moonā€˜s ethereal essence. it’s so humbling and vulnerable to attempt to take a photo of her and have it come out all ugly and orb-like. it’s literally none of ur business to see what she looks like anytime apart from the present moment! (and please don’t tell me if samsung or google pixel have invented technology to do a better job of this. it wouldn’t sit right with me… like trying to sneakily undress a woman without her consent when she has explicitly stated she’d rather remain demurely clothed and mysterious)
