it all started with my friend making me watch my life with the walter boys and then coercing me into watching to all the boys i’ve loved before AND THEN KISSING BOOTH. don’t get me wrong i hated every second of it but i couldn’t stop. and last night. I watched love simon for the first time… why did that movie get so much hype…

i make jokes about loving this film but i first watched / read twilight during my most formative years and it genuinely became part of my emotional and personal development. twilight sparked my love for both films and books and as much as i make fun of it, it introduced me to storytelling as something that could be both personal and shared.

i had never watched it before and my partner was appalled, so we ended up watching it on valentine’s day. dare i say, the best enemies to lovers slow-burn i’ve seen in a LONG TIME. the YEARNING. the DRAMA.
please re-watch in this context and you’ll understand. it bloated my heart.
