I like looking down at my cute nails and thinking “I did that!” Pros- way cheaper than a salon, less damaging (no dremmel sanding off my nail bed or UV lights), easy to fix if a nail breaks or chips, you can get really good at it, you can always change up your look on the fly, and you can decide what brands/ products you use. Cons- my office smells like nail polish/ nail polish remover for a little bit. Have to be patient and let them dry.

I’ve been doing my own nails for over a year now and I love it! I started off with the same colors I used to get all the time at the salon and once I got the hang of it branched out. Now that I’ve been doing it long enough I’m buying a nicer drill, light, storage, and more gels. I also just started swatching some colors today like my own little nail salon lol. I’ve saved SO much money doing this, the thought of how much I spent in just a year on nails before is crazy now. With how cheap doing my own nails has become I’ve also been more comfortable trying new colors all the time now that it’s not so expensive if I end up hating a color lol. My nails also last SO much longer. I can basically go 3 weeks with no chips most of the time (unless I want to change the color sooner) and I work with my hands a lot and do a lot of cooking and dishes. The only worry there is the grow out lol. Just make sure you get a light that plugs into the wall and ensure it’s strong enough to cure gel, always clean gel up off of you if you get it on yourself (allergies don’t happen instantaneously like tik tok will have you believe, but they can develop over time with overexposure), and practice makes perfect!

it’s fun! it’s an artsy, creative outlet; you get to create your own designs and stare at them once you wear them. feels so satisfying 🫶🏼 now that i have more nail supplies, i feel like i’m able to make nail designs that i actually want to wear without booking an appt or trying to buy press ons in store/online. it’s a hobby that i can see myself continuing.

I’m a project manager for a prepared food company, and the majority of the projects I work on are soup. We’re mostly private label, so we make the store brand soups in the deli section for most of the big grocery stores. One time at a big meeting our boss got a cameo from the “no soup for you!” Guy from Seinfeld to pump us up (?)

These puzzles are wild! All the pieces are different shapes, and even at the end it was so hard! Totally twisted my brain, please let me know if other puzzle companies do this I’m hooked!

for a while, I thought that to be anyone of substance, value, recognition, etc. you had to have a distinct personal brand. What a load of hooey. It definitely had a lot to do with Instagram, and like admiring people for having that persona that people know who you are without actually having to know you. it’s really depressing and sincerely unattainable for me. I now am very happy being off Instagram and doing whatever, without wondering how it looks.
