Nothing like a walk and a bird watch. Birds are such magically beautiful animals. I like focussing on watching what they are doing in an unmeasured, unscientific manner (that is one that is not about tracking or writing the features of the bird). Hereās a white faced heron I found in a pond looking at its own reflection at uni today.

If you need an excuse to go walk in the woods for hours on end, go to a marsh or forest and just watch birds. Feel the calm of the outdoors with the only sounds being your footsteps and the chirping of birds. Bring binoculars, or a camera, or nothing!! Nobody needs to even know what you're doing, you may even see a creature you've never seen before.

maybe you donāt have a pair of binoculars like me. all you need is patience (bird feeder recommended)! itās so invigorating and calming seeing my feathered-friends visit. name them too. I love birds.

Sometimes I recommend being a hater. Iām not here to talk about the numerous quality uses of AI, how often it is actually used nor am I here to critique AI without strawmanning it. I donāt care if I strawman an account of AI because I genuinely despise the way most people use AI. I think AI generated images are ugly. I think that AI cannot hold a half decent conversation. Iām completely avoidant when it comes to showing AI my writing; Iāve never done it and I refuse to. I hate when you go to that one poetry website and there is AI āanalysisā there, because its not real textual analysis and it upholds a certain contextualised intentionalist framework of reading a text reinforced in high school English. I hate that the meta AI will influence what products will be advertised to you. I donāt care if itās the future. I genuinely love being called a dinosaur because I hate AI.
