Top to bottom one of the best albums of the last 20 years. Everyone knows and loves ā€œDesire Linesā€ but give ā€œEarthquakeā€ a spin sometime. Bradford Cox doesn’t get the credit he should - a craftsman and amazing performer too šŸŽ¶

my friend recommended his song ā€œCarthageā€ to me a couple years ago and since then, his name’s been on my radar but i never really took the time to properly dive into his discography until tonight. the weather getting cooler here has me craving the lush and warm sonic landscape of guitar music and this album is just what i’ve been looking for. it’s some of the most magical music i’ve heard in a long time… i also recommend wholeheartedly thanking your friends for music recommendations that you really resonate with, even if you listen to it years after they recommend it, and even if thanking them sounds or seems sappy. recommending music is such a special and sacred thing and i always like to hear when someone connects with something iā€˜ve sent them, whether i talk to this person every day or once every few years. sharing music is choosing to love and we should spread that love all around, all the time <3

Feels like he mixed Orville peck and dijon in a very new and fresh way. Been on repeat for 6 months and doesn’t get old.

The man responsible for dozens of Teenage Symphonies to God "Sad songs about happy things" (the first time, as a kid, I can recall the sweet/sour combo of melodies that could make you cry attached to songs about endless, bottomless love) I've long since lost track of how many weddings and funerals I've attended that have featured this song; suffice it to say, "a lot." God only knows what we'd been without him šŸ™šŸ»

Hey tyler hopefully this doesn’t violate some PI.FYI golden rule But after nearly two years of writing, editing and arguing, my book about the EP is coming out in May and can be preordered here: https://hozacrecords.com/product/aifl/ The book is about the origins, history and cultural impact of the EP since these little objects first started coming out in the 50s. Over 50 of my music biz friends then helped me shape the list and review the top 200 ever released, according to us (ha). For those of you who are into this kind of geekery/snobbery, I can’t wait to hear what you think. A labor of love, as all books are! ā¤ļø
