Recently my cat went blind and someone suggested keeping a radio playing so she could orient herself around the apartment.
Got this little cute cheap one. Only plays AM/FM and that’s it. No Bluetooth or WiFi. I love it.
No more decision fatigue choosing what to play or wasting my data/battery.
We mainly listen to our public radio station. My cat is very well informed about current events now. 🩷🐱

My cat has fits of loneliness while I’m away at work all day so I turn on a radio in my living room for noise that may or may not help.
Regardless, from time to time throughout the day I tune into the same radio station and say things like “dang Toffee, ain’t these cats cookin’!?” so I can feel connected to her and her day.

- it’s live so you get to hear people talk it’s cute you feel like you’re with them
- curated vibe for the time of day
- but also love trying radio stations from around the world (try the app radio garden, an 85 year old at my job showed it to me)

Gonna try to bake a cake every (other) weekend this spring/summer. Working my way thru Natasha Pickowicz‘s cookbook ‘More Than Cake’ and it’s been a dream.
