I cried a lot to this song when I was 16 and I wasnโt ever sure why - the lyrics probably were how I wanted people to think about me after whatever party i barely squeezed my way onto the guest list for and it still sends me into a haunting dream of parties of another age with flirting queens and blue jeans and grooving saints - only to knock me back down with a clattering knock of a wooden spoon on a pot?
