I eagerly participate in conversations only to misspeak. My little sister shared a photo of her new tattoo and the first words out of my mouth were "it's great that it's so small, easy to remove if you ever change your mind."

This might be the second time mentioning my dad in a rec which feels excessive but literally every single time I speak to him I have this groundbreaking revelation about whatever I’m going through and suddenly the keys to all of my problems are in my hands. Genuinely don’t think he has any idea how profound he is. I think that what he says and what I receive are actually two disjoint sets. I think I have a new trust him since I don’t live with him he’s just like a wise old wizard who lives in his little cabin in a meadow with his goats and I visit him sometimes to seek his insights and to pet his goats. He is never worried about anything, completely out of the matrix.
