I've posted it on here a million times, and I'll post it a million more. For me, it embodies a lonely tenderness unlocked by being shown beauty by others, and which ultimately, redeems you to the world and most importantly *yourself*. I'm trying to leave my evil forest.

rereading underland by robert macfarlane - he’s a naturalist and explorer and his prose is bonkers in yonkers. i’m in the chapter about fishing off the coast of norway and discussing the continental shelf drop-off/battle over oil drilling. also reading a radiant curve by luci tapahonso, a mix of poems and prose! when i finish up underland i will be fully ushering in summer w tove jansson’s the summer book :)

one of the best concept albums of all time. follows a young woman named Ethel Cain (the character, not the artist) as she encounters various men and eventually meets her violent death at the hands of one of the men. truly visceral and even disturbing at some parts but so so good, really recommend giving it a listen
