A very interesting book about what we assume we know (and don’t) about other people !! interesting read that takes real life examples and dissects them very well imo
The more I read this book the more I think that everyone should read it. Linguistics is fascinating to me and I know it’s not for everyone, but the author makes it so digestible and I’m just seeing connections between the “typical” way cults attract members and how politicians, main stream media, and corporations communicate/try to brand themselves. It’s smart and entertaining without making light of serious topics. I LOVE IT!!!!
Anything by Camus is a banger but the stranger was the first book I read by him. Def recommend as it gives a good look into absurdism and the social contracts we play into.
I used to not like journaling til I started treating it as my notes app, writing chores, poems, thoughts, drawing, everything !! having a space where u can do literally anything feels super fun and freeing
Love all his work and recently found out he coined the term “ambient music” which is telling of how impactful his work has been for the musical landscape of the past 50 years, and his latest album just shows how he’s still got it
Gorgeous movie that immediately draws you in with its animation style and also has a great story, I’ve watched it at least 5 times. Honorable mention is Donnie Darko
