at least, thats what im doing right now. i made excuses to stay on them for so long because they kept me up with whats happening in the world, exposed me to really cool sfuff and whatever. even gave myself a timer on tiktok so i couldnt be on for more than thirty minutes, but two days ago i got fed up and just deleted it. im tired of having a background to all my activities so to speak, i want things to be surrounded by void instead so i can actually feel BORED again and thus partake in more activities and feel fulfilled. all this is to say it may also help if you write down or journal about why you want to be off your phone lol, i made the decision to delete my most used app because i had too much time to think about it during a long class and realized its not making my life any better.
Sorry for the rant, i have lowkey also just been wanting to talk about this..

a couple days ago i said farewell to the horrible brainrot app ive spent almost every day on for the last 9 years (would’ve been 10 in august). ultimately, i decided that not every thought needs to be broadcasted to the world (or my friends). or to have things i’ve said in my teen years still be searchable or relevant. i just don’t think i can use social media like twitter in a healthy way right now, and that’s okay! i think that deactivating my account was the best step forward for me at this moment. also twitter is generally a cesspool.
