it sounds pretentious but listen it’s like however long, ”too long” I had several epiphanies while watching it like I have so many subconscious movie or plot expectations like first of all it’s length and then it’s content I was like ohhhh were ramping up for something there’s gna be a jump scare!!! Like just made me reevaluate all of the ways we’re trained to expect and experience what we watch and how fcking good David lynch is at punishing you for viewing cinema m that way and then retraining you

the symbolism, the sound design, the visuals. everything in this movie is just perfect.

like 3 hrs long and the most confusing out of any david lynch movie i’ve seen (though i did like it, i always say it makes me feel like that inner machinations of my mind are an enigma spongebob clip)
