costs you like $25 and one afternoon per piece. has butch appeal. the problem is that the chems have to off-gas and and your room will stink for weeks and maybe you'll get cancer from VOCs or whatever

cutting the wood, sanding it… then STAINING IT? yeah you basically become an interior designer and a lumberjack all in one go it’s nice to make bespoke things out of real materials warning.. stain rags can spontaneously combust 🤝

Dark navy paint

I repainted a dresser that once was in mysister’s childhood bedroom. It felt good to have an out-of-the-ordinary project for a few days, and it was funny how cheaply made this 45-year-old piece of furniture was. The drawers still are lined with the floral contact paper our mom applied.
