today i spent an hour on chat gpt trying to find the name of this book that i thought iā€˜d lost or lent out by accident. Ai couldn’t figure it out but later when my friend came over she pulled it immediately off the shelf. i blame my hangover…. cool kinda smutty novel exploring power dynamics between folks in an open relationship… exploring queer sexuality. good for bisexuals feeling at odds with their identity. idk honestly i need to reread but i know i loved it and was really upset at the idea of having lost it or never being able to find it again

woooahhhh, can I talk to someone about this book? I accidentally took it on a trip with me to visit my Grandpa and I had no idea it was going to be so SEXY. I usually loath romance/erotic novels but there was something about this one, I was genuinely turned on in a way a book has never done to me. The characters were very interesting but I also found myself having beef with Eve, the main character. Was the author trying to say Eve was stupid for falling for Nathan's vain and privileged views or was she trying to say that she was noble for admitting all her selfish and vain faults and identifying with Nathan? Was Lillian trying to be like Nathan or succumb to Nathan so she could accept herself? I actually didn't think Nathan was that bad until the end and I realized he really did suck. The ending kind of bummed me out. There was a crazy build up and then it was meh. The character of Olivia was really hard to understand and I found her frustrating but I think that was the point. I did enjoy the book a lot and I thought the writing was skillful. What did you guys think?

ok i still haven’t finished it it’s very long but this is from the book! it’s an anthology all about femmes with essays and retellings and poetry (some of them are sad, some funny, some spicy, some sweet). this one was a love letter a butch wrote to her femme partner 🄲

I am not a stay-at-home mom secretly exploring sex work (Normal Women by Ainslie Horgarth), but I know a calling to motherhood and a fear of financial dependence. I am not an apparition stuck in time on the NYC subway after years of fighting for queer rights (One Last Stop by Casey Mcquinston), but I have felt adrift while searching for belonging. I am not manipulating a rich older man to live in his mansion and steal his pills (The Guest by Emma Cline), but I have been desperate and an unreliable narrator to myself. I should probably try to find a book about a man next I guess.

there is nothing better than a solo date to see a band you love. no shouting over the crowd to your date, freedom to dance as crazy as you want, peak people-watching. get as drunk as you want, who cares. talk to a stranger or don’t. tip the bartender and merch person, befriend the bouncer. you are the main character when you are on an adventure with yourself. who knows you better than you…? music is so euphoric and transformative, i will always cherish my solo concerts

plugging myself because obviously… if you are an overthinker, party girl, have fire sign placements and/or anxiety, enjoy liz phair, olivia rodrigo, sheryl crow, or the strokes…. perhaps give it a whirl. it has found itā€˜s way to many ā€œsummer 24ā€ playlists and that makes me smile :) there is also a very funny music video on youtube. thanks all music lovers for considering

how has no one said this one yet? chappell is winning music right now and this tiny desk certainly was part of that. between the stripped down live arrangements, matching pink band outfits, comedic personality in between songs, the wig (insane), and her VOICE….truly this performance is beyond i could watch it a million times
