Be warned: if you wear this, you will get stopped by everyone on the street. I was able to try this product from a friend and fell so in love I purchased two bottles for myself. Imagine stepping out of a really delicious bubble bath — that’s the feeling. It is floral but not flowery, bright yet with a punch. The scent is long-lasting and somehow gets better throughout the day - it pairs perfectly with a morning at the beach or a busy Sunday of errands. Did I forget to mention this was a bug spray — one that actually works! 4 days in Wisco, not a single bite. The mosquitoes didn’t even try to f*** with me; they were too busy enjoying the scent.

The best $25 I spend every month. Literally pays for itself if you see one movie plus if I see a bad movie I don’t feel like I wasted money

I recently watched The Monkey for free at Chicago's Music Box Theatre — and even stuck around for Perkin's Q&A session. I have to say, it was the best movie-going experience I've ever had. An organist played the score with diabolical cymbals in the background — come on! And the movie was hilarious and equal parts gory!

Staying at the Roxy in NY (formerly the Tribeca Grand) is akin to being on an elegant cruise in Manhattan. It’s my home away from home in the city. Everything is there: from live jazz in the massive atrium lobby with the glass elevator zipping up and down and the divine food and drinks (I recommend the lobster roll and a mescal cocktail) in recessed leather booths shaped like teacups, to the gorgeous red velvet theater below - which offers the best films on screen in Manhattan - curated by the brilliant Illyse Singer. After attending a killer film and fascinating Q&A, retreat to the Django, the speakeasy next door, which stays open til 4AM and is often where the hottest underground music acts play… What else could you ask for?

Petition for soup to be eaten (slurped?) no matter the temp! Carrots somewhat defy seasonality and can be found in the store year-round. This recipe makes a big batch that can be portioned and frozen for later 👩🏻‍🌾 Jenna Rainey’s (@jennarainney on instagram) Carrot Soup Recipe: Peel and chop 2ish lbs of carrots Dice one medium sized yellow onion and throw in a pot (I use an instant pot, you can use a regular pot too) with 2-3 Tbsp of grassfed BUTTAH and a dash of extra virgin olive oil, saute til translucent (about 30 seconds) Throw in 2-3 minced cloves of garlic for a few seconds Add in the carrots and about 24oz of beef bone broth I like @bonafideprovisions or homemade Add salt and pepper and thyme (I usually do fresh) and a little more garlic powder Throw the lid on your pot and cook til soft and tender (I do manual high pressure cook for 4 mins with a slow pressure release for 10mins in the instant pot) Blend with an immersion blender (or a regular blender, just make sure it's cooled down first) Voilà!

If Lake Street Dive were a boy band, you’d get Stolen Gin. I love the variety in composition, it feels like real music.
