fellow humans deserve mercy. we all make mistakes, we all have bad days where we can’t be our true selves. you can miss something beautiful by permanently closing the door. it will make you vulnerable to pain, yes. but when i think about it a lot of my most meaningful relationships happened because i forgave and was forgiven, because of patience, heartiness and faith.

relationship is scary, because the more you open yourself up to people, the easier it is for you to get hurt. by letting people into your life, you gave them the power to hurt you. sometimes though, we only focus on us letting them in and not the other way around. because when you really think about it, those people who strip themselves bare in front of you, also give you that same power that you’re scared to give.
so really. what’s scarier than letting people in, is our own selfishness. we’re sometimes too busy to live in our bubble, focusing more on our own feelings and safety that we, oftentimes, ignore the power that we hold to hurt someone around us.
and when you continue to do that, you may end up hurting the people that you hold dear, without intentionally doing so.

moments of shared humanity make me feel so alive. be it going to concerts and moshing or dancing, having a laugh with a friend or seeing and being seen. I value every connection ive got to make, even when things ended poorly. sometimes you go your separate ways and sometimes you reconcile after, but either way you leave changed. a lot of pain can stem from intimacy but i cant help but see my own future as very beautiful and bright

Nothing annoys me more about the American culture than the lack of enthusiasm. If I invite you to go somewhere and your answer is “sure” or “why not”, I’m taking it back. I do not wanna be surrounded by indifferent people. It’s unworthy.
