this is a short book with a collection of short stories, where each story had a theme of 'something unwelcome in the home'. it helped a lot with getting me back into reading after not reading for fun in years (due to school + having adhd).
some of the critiques on this book are from 1) many things being left unsaid/unexplained and 2) it wasn't 'scary enough'. so i think you'd have a better experience if you're okay with mysterious endings or you prefer to read books that are more 'subtly' eerie.
