First, I’m so sorry your kitty isn’t doing well :( I’ve been through similar. My cat had mystery puke after eating (turned out it was pancreatitis), annd was losing so much weight, and what ended up curing him was making is food from scratch. We feed this to both our cats now. Store bought food is filled with horrible things for kitties, even the fancy ones! I’ll put the recipe below.
before this, though, I’d try to get your cat excited about some food most cats find irresistible. Try feeding your cat sardines in water with no salt added. They go crazy for that! Also little bits of butter are great for cats.
There are these freeze dried single ingredient cat treats from Vital. Like little minnows, duck liver, chicken hearts, and rabbit bites. Cats go crazy for them too and there‘s no weird filler or chemicals like in most cat food and cat treats.
Ok here’s the cat food recipe. This frets our two cats for about 2-2.5 weeks.
Ingredients:
• 4 lbs ground beef (preferably organic and/or grass fed. try to stock up when on sale)
• 2 big carrots (try to get organic)
• 1 apple (try to get organic)
• 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (try to wild or organic)
• abour 1/2 cup water
• 1 cup rolled oats, and water for cooking it
Directions:
1. Make the rolled oats as per the directions on the package but without salt, set aside to cool
2. Chop the apple, compost or toss the core and seeds
3. Chop oats
4. In a food processor, process the apple, blueberries, and carrots, take out galf and set aside
5. Put in 2 lbs meat and half the oat meal into the food processor and process with the fruit and veg mixture until consistent, add about 1/2 the water and process some more. Set aside in a large bowl.
6. Add the rest of the fruit veg blend, meat, oatmeal, and water, and repeat step 5
7. Mix all of it together
8. Fill little 4oz mason jars with the food. Keep 1 in the fridge for feeding, put the rest in the freezer. Take one out the day prior to defrost. Feed kitty about 1/2 mason jar per feeding.
I know this is a lot and is higher quality than what some people eat!! But it literally saved my little kitty’s life 🥺 you don’t know what horrible stuff they put in store bought cat food!!
We also add Wysong Call of the wild vitamin powder on top per serving, as well as Nordic Naturals omega-3 oil at dinner.
I would try just feeding her plain raw ground beef, sardines, and the freeze dried treats first, then when she starts eating again make the recipe above!!

I have been selected by the cat distribution system twice! I found one in 2020 and the other in 2021, they were both kittens I found on the side of the road (Peanut and Spooky) one incredibly malnourished and the other fat (she had worms🤦🏻♀️)
One thing I’ve found when caring for kittens at a young age is they need help going potty! Their moms would typically be grooming them and helping the potty process, but if the mom isn’t around a warm compress can be used, wiping the area in a downward motion will help stimulate them to go potty.
Keep their faces clean, especially when you’re using formula still, it sticks and hardens quick! Potty training is so much easier the earlier you start, hold the kitten and gently move them backwards in the litter, you can even put the 💩 they may leave elsewhere to help them associate the box with potty time. NEVER encourage them to think hands are “toys“ best to introduce them to wands, crinkle toys, fake mice, etc. All kittens are different when it comes to affection and when they want attention, best you can do is take note of what your cat likes and dislikes as it grows and respect boundaries.

mice can be so so stressful, I’m so sorry and hoping you can catch them early!
I’m linking the electric traps we used for my old apartment. keeps them out of sight and relatively humane in that they are quick and effective. I hated glue traps for that reason, and because the glue can dry out and be less sticky than effective— very gross. We used peanut butter as bait.
I’m sure you already know about keeping all food in sealed plastic containers or the fridge or freezer. we‘d wash down the floor with peppermint oil because we read it irritates their feet, not sure if that’s a real deterrent. We also tried to wedge steel wool in the small spaces they can squeeze through.
I’ve also heard even the smell of cats can be helpful in scaring them away so if you have a friend with a cat that you don’t mind having come chill for a while, maybe that could help?
Ultimately we ended up calling an exterminator which helped seal up the house while the traps took care of the rest.

This is fatso (the real name she was given before me). She’s my 7 year old cat. I adopted her last year. All I know about her past is she lived in someone’s backyard with 30 other strays. Apparently she had a husband and that would fight big rats with her.
If u live in small apartment and u have a busy life, getting a kitten is really tough. I recommend adopting an older cat if you would like a pet that isn’t a full time responsibility.
She’s a sweet girl. She likes her distance but loves a back scratch. My home has become her home, that I also live in. We make it work.
