two guys watch the same awful movie every week for a year. in recent seasons they’ve switched up the concept to avoid killing themselves but those first three seasons are genuinely legendary. what starts out as a dumb idea for a comedy project very quickly (and accidentally) becomes a performance art project about the way that our imaginations try to impose meaning on the meaningless and the futility of existence. it’s also pretty funny

Three friends force themselves to watch very bad movies and sit down to discuss how ridiculous they are. Been a faithful listener for years and it never fails to make me die with laughter.

I’ve loved the comedy podcasting scene since 2018 but it’s progressively gotten more terrible as the years pass. The only one whose clips I can tolerate now are Matt and Shanes Secret Podcast. The ultimate culmination of just dudes being bros. search Notorious Peepop on YT and let it rip. No misses. i linked an all time classic To get u started.

I love these guys. Two comedians, Charlie Bardey and Natalie Rotter-Laitman, just talk about ideas they have each week. Ideas can be anything from "citi bike red noise" to "suffering is embarrassing." It's pretty classic observational humor but through a lens that's so smart and so dumb at the same time. Their live shows are also fun.

spent the last two weeks working on an interactive guide, recommendations database, and digital library (link depot) to help get people off of social media. the first draft is done now, and it's at the link to this post. it's still very much a work in progress (the library is especially thin atm) - which is why i wanted to share it here before unleashing it upon my IRL friends and the general public. i welcome any and all feedback, bug reports, and suggestions for things to add. i will be pushing updates to it out like a madman in the coming weeks, so be sure to check back every so often to see new additions to the database and library. additionally, i am still on the hunt for newsletters from local venues / community organizations / magazines / newspapers, etc. the only cities i have remotely covered so far are nyc, orlando, denver, brisbane, and little bits of worcester and chicago. if you know anything in your area that fits the bill, send it my way!
