I had the pleasure of rewatching this in a run-down theatre in Paris two weeks ago and it was quite incredible. Cried a lot and reflected on everything that’s ever happened to me and what could possibly happen now. I am grateful to be shown beauty in the world every day and I want to create something to say thank you to God but it’s so overwhelming i just feel rubbish. Anyways, it’s about a group of teenagers setting fires and bombs around Paris and it’s wonderful and ends very upsettingly and theres a Willow Smith Whip My Hair needledrop included. Bonello you are the best!

french movie about a teenage boy who is obsessed with the idea of blowing himself up in a magnificent explosion, not for political or suicidal reasons, but purely for the spectacle. the movie is so wispy and ephemeral, framing the characters and their thoughts and feelings wholly neutrally and candidly, making no attempt to judge or explain, only to observe. the movie opens with a building collapsing spontaneously and the protagonist pondering the difference between dying and ending. beautiful themes of what it means to be perceived and understood, and the nature of ceasing to be. I would like the explosion and what it leaves behind to be so incredible  that people will go...  "Thank you so much, whoever did this."

Watched L’Apollonide last week and can’t stop thinking about it. Nocturama also great. Can‘t wait to see The Beast.

I watched this for the first time last year. But, I can honestly say I’ve thought about it every day since. This movie makes you feel good. It’s funny, dramatic, beautiful.. and the ending takes your breath away.

I heard this during the end credits of Being John Malkovich for the first time yesterday and have decided that I am now a Bjork fan. So magical! And if you happen to see this, recommend me songs that sound like this. I feel like I’m always hearing the best songs in end credits of films, that’s why you must always sit through them! And it’s really nice seeing all the names of the people who worked on something, and sometimes there’s some surprising thank you notes and whatnot…
