'director Anthony Banua-Simon examines the past and present of the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi, interweaving four generations of family history, numerous Hollywood productions, and troves of found footage to create a kaleidoscopic portrait of the economic and cultural forces that have cast Indigenous and working-class residents as “extras” in their own story.'

This William Dalrymple BBC Doc from the late 90s

He journeys to the source of the holy river Ganges in Himalayan India and it’s such a real life epic quest to attempt, I want to believe I could be up to one day do it myself but this doc allows you to vicariously live it on VHS
