Pictures of family, friends, polaroids, photobooths, ultrasounds, my son’s artwork. I’d show a pic but that would be a lot of work covering everyones faces.

You get to look at strangers’ vacation photos, family portraits, medical diagrams. What’s better than that?

As requested, I downloaded the first batch of photos my niece took with the toddler camera I got for her. it’s fascinating to see what she finds interesting. mostly it’s what you’d expect: lots of her family, loadssss of close ups of her baby brother, some of her toys and food, and of Bluey on tv. Here’s a selection of my favourites including her tiny little feet 🥹, And my personal favourite - a close up of my dads chessboard with a moustache filter over it?

my mom made me + my siblings all a photo book with a bunch of pics of us when we were kids from her shutterfly. it’s so frickin cute and i love holding this tangible piece of our lives together in my hands. my brother is expecting a daughter and he was talking about how excited he is to show her these pics 😭 i think i need to make these myself more often!! (vintage pic of me included, circa 1999)

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE 🌊
