So many people are so scared to do things on their own, but it can be so fun and liberating! I’m my own favorite travel partner. You can try fun places without worrying about what someone else is in the mood for, meet so many people, people watch, read, visit museums Or other stops and take all the time you want, etc. I think a lot of people care too much about what others think when they’re seen doing something or dining alone, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter. Starting out, go to a restaurant that has a bar and sit at the bar, you can enjoy your food and maybe a drink, if you get anxious about people talking to you or aren’t having fun people watching, take up watching the sports on the tv to look occupied! Or maybe your solo outing could first be taking yourself on a museum date and getting to spend as much time as you want in each exhibit.

there are two types of solo dates i go on:
one, where i sit with myself like at a restaurant/cafe i wanted to try or a movie i really wanted to see to enjoy it how i want to
or two, where i surround myself with a new community so i feel less alone but I AM alone bc no one knows me
options for one: movies, cafe/restaurant, library, thrifting, doing art outside, spa day, making a new meal at home, getting a sweet treat
options for two: cooking classes, gym/zoomba classes, book clubs, pottery, hiking groups, escape rooms
these are off the top of my head but enjoy yourself love there’s no one better to have fun with than yourself !

This is actually so easy and yet.
You're capable of meeting all of your own needs and when you accept this (and expect this people are just automatically drawn in.
If there's a movie you wanna go see, make the plan to go see it by yourself, and next time you're in a group of people (at work at a bar whateva) share with the group that you're going to see the movie on this date at this time and anyone is free to come.
You'll be surprised at how many people will join on things. And any time anyone doesn't, it's nothing to you bc you were gonna go by yourself anyway.
People are just really scared to invite people to things and even more scared to invite themselves. So just be the person to invite. If they come that's gorgeous if they don't that's also gorgeous you get to see the film either way (or go to the concert or museum or whatev)

I know I’ve ranted about AI before but! Just saw another writer who was doing peer reviews as she was writing chapters with another person; until she found out the other person was using AI for their NOVEL! Blows my mind. She removed this person from her document and sent her a kind but straightforward message about how she won’t be working with her going forward due to the AI usage. I feel like using it for novel writing is one of the most insane uses because #1 this person told me that the AI generated parts of the work weren’t even as good as the other person’s normal writing was. #2 let’s say no one noticed and you published with the AI work, so you would be okay if the book did well but it wasn’t even truly your writing that people would be praising?? Not to mention of course the morality and environmental impact.
Also, I was shopping around today for a custom leather stamp to start stamping the leather journal covers I make. Thought I found someone to make it until they said to send the logo file over and they’ll send back AI created renderings of a mockup to approve. Now I am starting the search all over🙃

So we all think it’s sketchy that Tik Tok is already back right? And that they posted a statement kissing Trump’s ass and making him out to be the one saving Tik Tok when he isn’t even sworn in yet? And now Trump wants the US government to have a 50% ownership, aka turning Tik Tok into state owned media just like I thought was happening. And I’m sure most people won’t be able to stay away from Tik Tok and Meta which is so disappointing. I want nothing to do with Tik Tok now because I know the app as we knew it is already gone at this point.
