This song to DJO was about moving to LA from Chicago and having a whole fresh start and being someone who graduated high school and moved to college I took it personally.

I'm sure y'all have seen Djo's "End of Beginning" blow up on socials this week and its the exact kind of song you look out a train window wistfully jamming to. I'd file this genre under the same thing as like, "Sweet Disposition" movie-mindset-inducing. Also lmk if you have others.

this song was playing in my freshman year dorm in the final days I was still there before having to leave due to the pandemic. my roommate just moved out and so did my best friend’s, so we pushed the twin beds together in my room and watched John Mulaney‘s Netflix special on my laptop. somehow this song started playing at the same time and it was kinda a cool overlay so we let it (it’s like a 15 min track). “welcome to your new life” was so pandemic coded and just wild times. happy sad mems but none the less special <3

I have always loved ladybugs since I was a little girl. Something about them is so nostalgic, like when one would land on me and I’d make a wish or when my dad would buy my sister and I “grow your own ladybug” kits and we would watch them grow up. I got a tattoo of one the second I got the chance.

As a college student, I have very solid routines. Every day before class (or after depending on the day) I would go and get a snack pack of avocado hummus with carrot sticks and naan from my dining hall. It was the highlight of my day, and my all time favorite food. Come winter term, I go to get my avocado hummus and I notice it’s been replaced with HAZELNUT HUMMUS. I haven’t had my avocado hummus since mid December and I am not the same person because of it.
