I've been revisiting some favourite music scenes I was too young to be around for, and 80s Scottish and European post punk is great. This spotify radio is great for starters.
these guys have been crushing it. these boys from Melbourne are cranking out tasty melodic post punkish guitar rock. Everything they have put out has been super fun.
I read one 1 Allston Pudding article my freshman year of college that made me checkout Radiator Hospital and it completely changed music listening for me. Before this, I was listening to a lot of indie pop stuff and this sent me down the road of listening to a lot of 2010s Philly/NY indie rock that has come to define a lot of my music taste.
I write 100 words of fiction a day; it's usually the best part of my day (even if the writing is awful). It gets the dark gremlins out of my head for a bit. With how meaningless corporate jobs are, I need something creative.
The solution is the same as always: decentralized and build it small, local, redundant, and networks. That's what made the internet powerful in the first place, what made it good. Now, we can't even swap out our now phone batteries!
