One of the best Mockumentary films ever, and definitely one of the funniest. AND THE CAST IS AMAZING!! Young Kirsten Dunst, Young Amy Adams, Young Brittany Murphy (RIP) and the middle aged powerhouses Kirstie Alley (RIP) and Allison Janney….literally can’t get any better!! Praise aside, there’s a moment in the movie with the drama geek contestant, recites a revised monologue (something about Soylent Green) that mentions “2024” and I think that’s so cute and awesome that on a random watch, little things like that could pop out at anytime.

coming of age! & funny & I cried. Feel like nobody has seen it/went under the radar. And it was shot in a really gorgeous location so deserves bigger screen than a laptop

For all the movie buffs, I know what you’re probably thinking, and I thought the same thing. I Almost didn’t watch this because it kinda seemed to just fall into that dreaded meh “mid” category - solid cast, interesting enough premise, but not very artistic, not a wild story, nothing too deep to say: just a normal movie. In the end, I decided to throw it on, and I’m definitely glad I ended up watching. This ultimate normal movie is about some people over their heads in a not-too-spectacular crime, and that’s exactly what I loved about it, it was just refreshing. That being said - it doesn’t lack in tension, i found myself on the edge of my seat throughout. Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney bring their A games here, and deliver something really worth your time.

The man responsible for dozens of Teenage Symphonies to God "Sad songs about happy things" (the first time, as a kid, I can recall the sweet/sour combo of melodies that could make you cry attached to songs about endless, bottomless love) I've long since lost track of how many weddings and funerals I've attended that have featured this song; suffice it to say, "a lot." God only knows what we'd been without him 🙏🏻

Hey tyler hopefully this doesn’t violate some PI.FYI golden rule But after nearly two years of writing, editing and arguing, my book about the EP is coming out in May and can be preordered here: https://hozacrecords.com/product/aifl/ The book is about the origins, history and cultural impact of the EP since these little objects first started coming out in the 50s. Over 50 of my music biz friends then helped me shape the list and review the top 200 ever released, according to us (ha). For those of you who are into this kind of geekery/snobbery, I can’t wait to hear what you think. A labor of love, as all books are! ❤️
