march of the falsettos came out in 1981 and falsettoland (the second part) came out in 1990. i have both albums on cd and they are genuinely some of the best lyric writing and most interesting music composition iโ€™ve ever heard. itโ€™s hilarious and depressing and i cry every time i listen to it all the way through. the new 2016 version is also amazing (and has christian borle my king in it)

falsettos will forever be my favorite musical not only because the characters are pretty relatable, but mainly because the music absolutely slaps man. none of it is ever skipped when I am listening

I watched rent a while back and its been my favorite movie ever since. I did watch the actual Broadway version that my mom has on DVD and that was also awesome they left a lot of stuff out in the movie though. But the music I love so much. Jonathan Larson did fantastic on it I wish he got to see it. I always wonder if Jonathan Larson was still alive if his art would be still as famous as it is to this day. even in tick, tick, boom the music that he wrote omg it's just so good and Andrew Garfield did amazing playing as him.
