my friends actually make fun of me for it at this point — it’s like my security blanket. waterproof, not too big but holds everything one could need, stylish, understated. i actually don’t know what i would do without it.
i’ve been using a small sling bag for the past year and always end up with my hands and pockets full of the overflow that won’t fit in my attempted minimalist approach to storage. i recently bought a fairly oversized satchel and it’s markedly improved my day to day life. i can bring my books AND water bottle AND notebook AND camera AND ongoing collection of sentimental bottle-caps AND i have a place to put the pomelo i bought on my walk AND the jacket i might want for later on AND my hands are now free for high-fives or dancing or putting more things in my huge bag!
whenever i’m feeling stagnant, i take a shower. it’s an instant reset, don’t even have to wash your hair, it’s enough to just be under a hot faucet for 4 min
great way to get a sense of a city, whether that be where u live or just a place you’re visiting. i also love seeing ppl make and share work outside of institutional structures. reminds me of how weird and creative we can be <3
