Specifically, In the Shadow of the Valley By Bing Nathan, Don Burnham, Rick Dougherty, and Chuck Aronson. This twangy, heart pulling classic has been heavy in my current rotation. I live in NYC but am from the Wild West, so this is the perfect jam for my late night commute home on the J. Makes me feel like I just spent a long day hearding cattle in the city (I have). Also, it’s fantastic for a brooding, forlorn 22 year old woman that longs for a love she’s never known with a strong, stoic cowboy.

because doing them on a phone or computer is so unsatisfying. give me a pen and a 2-year old partially completed xword and a clipboard - it's the best way to do it! so immensely fulfilling to finish the whole thing on pen and paper. PEN AND PAPER!!! not as good as the OG newsprint but it's the next best thing.
