i rarely go out late on weeknights but tonight i went to an event meetup thing and brought one of my tarot decks for fun and by far the most perfect one was the card i drew for the bartender. i was like omg itās YOU and she was like omg it is so me iām literally doing that right now!
i was nervous my readings would be inaccurate or weird but the ones i did all resonated a lot!!! :) i just got this deck recently and itās inspired by but not the same as rider-waite, so it was good practice as iām having to learn some of it. reading for others is fun in general and a great way to get better at learning the art!

Funny, I was thinking about making a post on this!
I first started back in 2010. I was in an abusive relationship, and every. Single. Reading. I pulled the tower card (Iykyk).
Iāve been practicing consistently since. My favorite deck is the Vision Quest Tarot Deck, though I have many. I read for myself, and I love reading for others (most recently someone on here! š). I see it as a channel and it is a gift to be the conduit. Iāve always felt very connected to spirit and have some other practices I keep close to the vest. Itās been lovely connecting and growing with it.

i have been working w tarot more seriously for a few months now and it has been so illuminating. the cards have so much to say! the deck i work w most is the thoth deck which is truly stunning. thank you lady frieda harris <3 linked the cards and their interpretations and added a pic of one of my favs. (btw if u want a free reading from me pls lmk, i am trying to practice reading for others more!)

within the last couple years iāve gotten four readings done. every time iāve left wondering if the personal reading i payed $30 for had anything to do with my life at all. but itās fun to see how a random person interprets your life and future with as little context as possible. $30 dollars for a funny conversation and the possibility to hear your fortune!

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WORKERāS DAY!!!! i love having a union, i love being a union steward and getting to support my unit. when my union won its contract, i got a pay bump, better benefits, and increased protection as a worker. š„³
unions help address racial and gender pay gaps, issues workplaces impose on families and those having kids, addressing unsafe conditions, plus things like better health insurance, wages and overtime, weingarten rights to representation, and more!!!

i had it for a little over a year until i was like wow this is actually terrible! i genuinely think it has negatively impacted society by ruining peopleās attention spans, having a horrific algorithm, and most of all by the most mind-numbing or outright harmful trends -
fake words that people now use IRL (āunaliveā), trad wife tiktok, shein hauls, body-focused fitness vids that encourage fatphobia and unhealthy habits, shallow political/feminist theory and queer discourse, āalpha maleā podcaster tiktok, encouraging overconsumption in general, trends ruining local spots or niche thingsā¦ the list goes on
