happened just this weekend!!! takes up an entire very tiny very secluded town, which basically just has a pub and a church and a barn and a couple of houses scattered around on either side of the river. so many amazing performances, from both officially booked musicians and poets, and also random folk enthusiasts who form little jam-pockets outside the pub every evening. there are workshops taught by performers, and a beautiful welcome to country ceremony on the bank of the river at the start of the festival. the drive is beAUTIFUL too!!!!!! long and winding dirt roads through forests and following creeks, passing occasional ramshackle homesteads and ruins you can just glimpse through the trees. definitely worth a visit if ur ever around sydney/newcastle area in late april
