seeing the same familiar faces each week, and saying hello to other locals. watching the going ons around youā€“ā€“knowing whats typical, and whats not. monotony is derided often, but it can be a real balm on a tumultuous life. bonus: free drinks from time to time!!

used to find the prospect of everyone knowing you by name (and by order) humiliating, but after doing my time in the service industry iā€™ve come to find the idea of regulars really preciousā€¦ i love being a routine part of peopleā€™s week šŸ«‚ giving to small businesses on a regular basis is super rewarding ! you get to participate and invest in your local community - and it will usually invest itself in you one way or another :)

i used to think being a regular was lame! but being a regular is awesome! iā€™ve been a regular at this coffee shop by my apartment for so long that ā€œmy baristasā€ are now just ā€œmy friendsā€ :)

my favourite!! you can get it at any hipster-ish cafƩ, or you can make it yourself if you're willing to drop the change to get the syrups yourself. i've tried raspberry and lavender, and they're both great <3 prefer the lavender

PRAWN COCKTAIL CRISPS
maybe iā€™m just too scottish, but these are the best crisps/chips out there. tangy, complex, itā€™s PERFECT!! i will love you and defend u with my life, prawn cocktail crisps
