after people say "thank you." "No problem" and "don't worry about it" are so trife. Acknowledge your own effort, and recognize the other person's gratitude in one fell "you're welcome." It feels good.

They're consummate empaths and they keep it really fucking simple. A toddler will give you a savage and brutally accurate read. Also, most times they don't really know what you're even going on and on about but they like to hear you talk so they're great listeners, too.
