Buying a Walkman cd player and carrying a book at all times is making life so much more enjoyable than using my phone all the time. Idk what it is but it just feels so much more like I’m living life. I have severe anxiety and honestly these changes have helped me so incredibly much. Not to mention that it is so much better for the artist when we buy their album vs. streaming. Currently reading: Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. Currently listening: Parklife (cd) by Blur

carrying a camera and a book in public gives me more anxiety lol. I feel like everybody is looking at me like "You're not the vibe" lol. I'm envious of the freedom you have achieved

@CLEANTEETH i mean this in the best possible way: nobody cares, actually! and if someone is really spending their free time to look at you and think that you’re not the vibe, that’s…100% their problem

@CLEANTEETH NO LITERALLY. I used to be self conscious too, but I’ve realized that no one really cares what type of tech you use and often you will meet some really cool ppl bcs game recognizes game lol

Trying to spend less time on my phone and also expand my physical media collection and that has brought us here. Promotes active listening in a really nice way and reminds me of being a kid

Can't say I have any personal experience with this, but it's something I've been considering for a bit. The overwhelming abundance and the tinny low-quality sound of digital media is making me crave records. Going full 2010's hipster mode and getting a record player. Warm, full sound and it invites you to sit (or lay down) with the full album. No option for skips and you can get deeper into what you're hearing. You're inspiring me to take the leap.

I´ve been buying used CDs and vinyl, along with a second-hand CD player, figuring out what music I truly enjoy on repeat, without it being pushed on me. I still use Spotify, but mostly outside the house or in another room. Some evenings, I disconnect completely: no phone, just a book, a movie on TV, and my CDs playing. Feels like the year 2000. I took this picture from a local Cd store in my city.

this book is so comforting for so many reasons. firstly, it is a very quick read (~100 pages), and secondly, it's main theme is learning how it is okay to be lost in your 20's or really at any age. it promotes the importance of transition periods rather than trying trying to escape the emotions. highly HIGHLY recommend as this book literally healed me <3

Sooooo…… I just started watching the show last week (for the first time bcs I’ve ran out of sitcoms and good tv) and why TF is lindsay so annoying. Like bestie stand on ur business. her romance with nick is so ?????? i just don’t understand half of her writing decision. anyone else feel this way? I hate putting down lead female characters but god damn I’m rooting for you but you make all the wrong decisions :’)
