probably the best street photographer going right now in hollywood. His ability to be at the right place at the right time and capture a unique and memorable scene is really impressive. Most would be lucky to get even 1 one of these shots

Brian is one of the hardest working street film photographers in New York City. I love his ability to curate photo carousels with linear narrative themes. He captures authentic moments that happened just behind you. His work is a reminder that New York is alive and odd in all the right places when you aren’t looking. Sometimes when he leaves the Fantasy office in Williamsburg, he walks to Harlem just to take pictures along the way. I’ve seen some of his unreleased projects and you’ll be doing yourself a favor if you follow along too.

i have a hard time picking one particular favorite photographer, but i admire this guy’s work so much, especially as a music photographer myself. maybe part of it is because we seem to use similar techniques, but i know a huge detail of his work that i love is how he captures the crowd. maybe it’s just because concert crowds now aren’t usually as rowdy as they were in the 90s, but looking at his photos, i feel like i’m actually placed in the chaos and fanaticism at that show. of course, he’s a huge figure in documenting the grunge scene, and as someone who was raised on that culture, i seriously admire that too. it’s just awesome to me seeing photos that i know were shot on film look as insane as his; it is something i aspire to do.

Idc Idc I LOVE how regular he makes these celebrities look! There’s enough photographers out here that play up that glam shit but only one wants to give us a celeb in expensive outfits sitting outside of a 7/11 eating a chili cheese dog and THATS Juergen-fucking-Teller.

Nick Drakes maybe second most known record, which you can only really discover after loving the devastating beauty behind Pink Moon first. Bryter Layter is so genius and cohesive, with much more instrumentation than his final record. I imagine we would have gotten more albums similar to this had we gotten more time on earth with this lonesome genius. I believe if i were ever to find and own an original pressing of this record, the whole in my heart would be filled with the truest joy. edit: i also want to note that songs from this album have been featured in both ā€œThe Holdoversā€œ and the Fred Rogers biopic, ā€œA Beautiful Day in the Neighborhoodā€ which are both very cozy period pieces. So do with that what you will.

i don’t know what to call him but these songs have a beautiful delicate energy to them. it kind of reminds me of slower and sadder radiohead songs. they fit perfectly into driving home from an event when you’re feeling wistful or soft melancholy
