ive been sleeping too much over the past like month but i fixed my schedule and now im waking up at like 7am every day and i love life it feels like i have so much more time in the day now

a couple years ago my friend would make plans with me ~9-10am and we'd stop hanging out at 2 and go "holy shit there's like, a whole day left" even though we'd already been going for four or five hours which would not feel true if we started at say, 11-12
recently have been trying this new thing where i shift my working hours forward so i'm online from 7-3 or even 8-4 instead of 9-5 and it's similarly liberating; it's just rewarding to take back your own time a little bit and feel like "because i woke up earlier there's more time in my day"

i love being up early even when i donβt have morning plans. i can take my time enjoying breakfast, playing my little games, journaling, and stretching all without a rush. easing into the day and reveling in the quiet, gentle morning hours is a blessing! time feels more spacious!
