Please enjoy this Canon Powershot of Chris Martin, Will Champion and Guy Berryman in June of 2009. To this day it’s my favorite concert I’ve ever been to. I still have the live concert CD they handed out that had been recorded and produced while on that same tour. There were multiple stages, one of which was up in the bad seats! There was confetti!! It was a warm summer day and I was relishing in my teenage freedom!!! It was the perfect combination of the show itself and all the surrounding circumstances, and I’m so glad I experienced it.

there are of course a bunch of amazing concerts that i wasn't alive for that i wish i could have witnessed, but genuinely, the first thing that came to mind was this video.
the dim incandescent lighting, justin vernon's haunting vocals and the intimacy of that small apartment in rue des abbesses, paris... there's something so beautifully human and tender about witnessing live music in unintended spaces and i hope to experience something like that in my lifetime

I love a concert venue with a GA balcony. It’s perfect for people like me who can’t stand for as long as I used to. And people like me who are too short to stand in the back. The view is still fucking fantastic and I can sit when I need to.
Saw the Vaccines last night and they were so goddamn good. I’m still crushing so hard on Matt Hitt after all these years. (If I could post videos you’d realize they‘re all focused on Matt).
Thus Love opened for them and they were also really good! Their sound reminded me of The Strypes a little. My bf bought me their record on the way out and I can’t wait to listen.

Sky absolutely OPENED UP and started pouring rain as they hit the chorus of (I think, can’t remember specifically) Holocene. Brass and winds section with them for the 22, A Million tour so it was a huge musical moment right as the downpour started. They still played the whole set.

I admittedly have a lot of pet peeves, but leading the pack is online recipes of any stripe. Food blog, bon apetit post, tiktok caption…they're all a nightmare, and I hate them. I ✨hate✨ them!!! Who wants to click out of a half dozen pop up ads with messy hands and stuff going on the stove? Who is that experience for?? Especially when nearly every recipe you could ever hope to need or imagine already exists in libraries and thrift stores (both of which offer both cookbooks and food magazines!).
that being said… I’m not above referencing Smitten Kitchen or Sally’s or Modern Proper. But i’ve taken to physically writing down those recipes ahead of time, and it’s amazing how much it improves the cooking/baking experience both in terms of easy reference and also in the way it helps me mentally think through the process.
I recommend physical recipes!!!

every once in a while I like to go rogue at the grocery store just to remind myself that I am an adult with free will. Yesterday I did this at my neighborhood Piggly Wiggly and ended up copping some garlic bread from the freezer aisle. It’s soooo impractical (I live by myself and these are really not meant to be consumed a slice at a time) and is a crazy expensive way to make a very cheap snack but DAMN is it good. I Recommend This Item 🌟

I love to identify birds when I am walking or traveling or just out in the world!!! It helps me make a habit of paying attention to ordinary beautiful things. Touch grass in app form one might say!!
