sometimes a great leader will step up before you can say a word. sometimes nobody will say anything and everything will crash and burn on its own. the best option in my eyes is to recognize the situation and do what will benefit everyone most, even if its not what you’d prefer the most

Ok don’t be a little fascist about it but sometimes when ur hanging with/going to hang with people, everyone does the polite little “ohhh I don’t know what do YOU wanna do” I am someone who chronically doesn’t wanna disappoint or force an action on a group (picking the movie, time, restaurant, etc) - however, as I get older, I’ve realized - it’s highly valuable to being around others to come through with ideas and, ultimately, a choice Don’t force it! Be open and listen! But the homies can’t choose? Help move the hang forward - all will thank u.

spoke up the other day at work when some shit went down and even though it was a little scary to talk back to The C Suite I think it was something I needed to do or I would sit and rot in my own anger. also, it helped embolden other people to bring up their own grievances… you can’t just let people make massive decisions that you don’t agree with and not say anything. it’s going to make you look worse in the eyes of your bosses but you have to decide who really matters more and I guess I had an awakening that the people who matter are my team members….. the people I work with every day with lives and families and passions outside of all of this… grindset and self-preservation deactivated but I think that’s okay.

In my experience what works best specifically w public conflict - only intervene physical harm is eminent or if truly nasty language is being used loudly - keep in mind your safety comes first (you can’t rescue someone if you’re drowning yourself) - if there’s a window where you’re able to speak to someone one on one and check in consider doing that It’s really tough seeing any form of that in public bc you dont know those people you don’t have necessary context And even with the best intentions getting involved will escalate the situation either in the moment or for the ppl arguing later behind closed doors Imo unless you’re certain someone is going to be physically harmed its best not to step in…

its crazy to me we are now at a point where major companies are actively putting measures into their products to make them hard or impossible to fix on your own. if you take it anywhere else to get it fixed your warranty is now voided. i just paid like $1000 for this phone. do i even really own it if nobody but the company i bought it from can fix it? better yet you bring it to them and they will essentially do nothing but quote you for overpriced parts you don’t need or more likely just tell you to buy a new phone. thanks apple!!!
