I was listening to this song late at night instead of going to sleep like I was supposed to. It feels like a song kinda meant for a kid, though I've never actually looked into if it was made directly for someone. It felt soooo bittersweet in the moment though because it seems like no matter how much you try to impart wisdom on someone else, especially someone young, it seems like 9/10 times they don't truly understand it unless they experience the actual pain associated. Made me think of someone really close to me who I really can't do much other than watch as he explores his identity.
Special place in my heart for animal collective and all the associated acts their music just tends to make me feel something completely unique every time

I love how vulnerable the song is. I love this band and all their songs are kinda sad but incredibly beautiful and full of raw emotion. I’ve been listening to them since I was a teenager and somehow they’ve always managed to tell my life story back to me.

I think I've bawled my eyes out to every track at this point for different reasons. not even exaggerating. once you think you're done with it you get hit with a brand new emotion and find new symbolism in the lyrics. and another painful feeling to unfurl and free yourself from. if I could get everyone to listen to an album this would be my pick

Bring patios back!! also, there's nothing better than being dead hungry in the middle of a hike and sitting down to demolish a shitty sandwich, which in that moment is the best thing you have ever tasted. the dirt makes it taste better not joking
my favourite time of day is when it’s close to sunset, the birds are chirping, everything’s settling down for the evening, and you’re just enjoying a little meal with your doggo (who’s clearly just here in hopes you give him food.)
