JOINING THE LOCAL LIBRARY
I’ve been buying books this whole time? Also putting books on hold, collecting them when they are ready and have your name printed on the docket makes me feel inordinately good.

Also you can borrow ebooks, you can usually borrow CD's and DVDs, board games, puzzles, some have seeds for your garden, they have language learning programs and ancestry discovery software. I love libraries 😭

Taking out art books from the library
I don't have the cash or the space to buy these things, but I love reading them. My local library stocks new art books every week and I check out all of them. Even if it's not my thing, I can flip through it in ten minutes and feel like I did a good deed for my brain.

My local library
I took out a library membership with my local council and it’s been great! I initially got it to borrow books, but the libraries host lots of free events and activities, and you can hang out in the comfy chairs or use the desks for as long as you want. It really makes you realise how little truly free spaces exist.
